I wanted to experiment with blending and different time lapses in this early video. One technique I’m especially proud of is the time-delayed overlay on the face during the first verse. To me, this effect mirrors the sound of an echo delay pedal, visually representing its layered, repeating quality.
The moody tone of the song, with its echoing and repetitive melodies, called for this kind of visual treatment. The way the melodies come together in unison and then gradually unravel was particularly fascinating to me, and I sought to capture that dynamic in this work.
